A ZILLION THANKS TO ALL MY FRIENDS OF THE CIVIL AREA YOUTH FELLOWSHIP
Dear Friends,
I didn't know what to think, or even how to react. I thank God for allowing me to just be a vessel in His service. I thank God for the flock, and for every other blessing that He had bestowed upon me, and upon the Youth of the Bangalore Civil Area. I thank God for revelation. It was then that I realized how full I was, when the responsibility was given to me (Area Youth Convener). There was that nudging, making me know that the forthcoming days would be special and indeed it was special. The 4 years that passed by, the love and affection showered on me by all my friends in the Civil Area and the cooperation extended to me. I thank each one of you, for being there and supporting me during the last two bienniums. I am happy that I was able to reach out to all the churches and the youth of the Civil Area.
I specially thank Rev. Satish Timothy Paul who guided me and was always there with me encouraging me during all the events that took place in the last two bienniums. I am glad and feel fortunate to have worked with him. I pray for him and his family, I also pray for his ministry in the diocese.
I thank the Youth leaders, Pastorate Commitees and Presbyters of all the Churches in the Area for their cooperation during the monthly Zonal meetings.
I am happy that Petse Sparkson and Jason have been chosen as the Convener and Joint Convener respectively for the biennium 2011-2013 for the Bangalore Civil Area Youth Fellowship. I wish the best for both of them. May God bless them and guide them in all the future efforts and endeavors.
Here are some wonderful words written by Paul Tournier especially for the new Convener and Joint Convener.
God calls each of us in secret to make certain sacrifices which always involve a risk, even though it may differ from person to person. God speaks to the crowd, but his call comes to individuals, and through their personal obedience he acts. He does not promise them success, or even final victory in this life. The goal of the adventure to which he commits them is in heaven. God does not promise that he will protect them from trials, from material cares, from sickness, from physical or moral suffering. He promises only that he will be with them in all these trials, and that he will sustain them if they remain faithful to him.
I know that you will remain faithful, and God will sustain you as you look to Him for encouragement and blessings. We often say at church that God is good ALL the time! I believe that with all my heart, and I know that you do too.
In Christ's Love,
John Rajan
